Out of Sight, Out of Mind | Paola’s Kohler Home Generator Testimonial
Working from home as a medical professional, power outages are not an option for Paola. But the unstable grid in her Texas neighborhood presented a challenge for her to care for her patients and protect her two kids. After her first major power outage, see why Paola installed a Kohler Home Generator for her peace of mind.
My name is Paola, and I am in Houston, TX.
I had an opportunity to relocate to Houston through my job and start working in oncology at one of the local hospitals.
I love the area. It's quiet, it's walkable, and it's just a good family feeling.
I think I've always been the protector of my family and I'm always the one that leads in that aspect. And so you want to do the best for your kids and you want to always kind of go above that safety measure to make sure that you can provide for them.
So, in this area, there's some challenges for the power supply just because there's continued building in the area and as they're expanding, that grid is very unstable and that's a huge problem.
When the power went out during our freeze that we had in 2019, we lost power for five days.
I actually lost my refrigerator and my dishwasher and that was a huge pain.
My neighbor was the only one that had power, and so hearing that generator going off the whole time, I was like, OK, Marcy, I need the name of the person that you work with because I'm getting one.
So, I've had my generator since 2021, and it's been great.
I looked at a couple of other ones and for me, it was important that I put it in and I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.
What I love about the generator is that it works when it needs to work and it's out of sight, out of mind.
As a medical professional working from home and having to deliver high quality care to our patients, especially cancer patients, it is really important that I have a power supply that's reliable, that's stable.
I just know that I can keep moving and what I need to do.
There's no disruption in my schedule and there's no change in my work day.
Having the solar panels, having the generator like these are things that I want comfort in the house that if you know, the apocalypse comes down, like I'm good.
I just need food in the fridge and I'm good.
It makes me feel safe and it makes me feel like I don't need to worry.
And I think as a mom, you worry a lot.
Whether it's raining, whether it's scorching outside.
I know I'm going to have a comfortable having the KOHLER generator now.
It's peace of mind.
